Pirate Borg - The Natural Philosopher

The ocean of knowledge is vast and filled with monsters... should you choose to chart it, you too may become one! "The Natural Philosopher" is a player class for the game Pirate Borg, 

When designing this class, I wanted to represent the journey of knowledge undertaken by intrepid minds, and the self destruction it can cause when not tempered with humanity and hubris. Each of the three paths, Astronomer, Chemist, and Linguist have three ranks to them, each conferring a specific type of ability; Astronomers are excel at navigation and predictions, chemists concoct a unique draught, and linguists expand their ability to communicate with life forms. And at the end of each of these paths is a powerful ability that comes with an extremely dangerous rider effect. In Borg games, I believe it is best for player characters to be able to burn brightly and quickly!
